If your
firearm permit expires in July or August be sure to
check the status of your application with BSIS to ensure
that your permit is being processed. Due to the
state imposed furlough BSIS will be closed on at least 3
times per month. These closures
could have an impact on the renewal of your guard and
firearm permit. Remember, if your guard or firearm
permit expires you may not stand post.
CCW Permits
(Don't Be Fooled)
If you are issued a concealed
weapons permit (CCW) outside of the State of California you
cannot carry your concealed weapon in California.
California will only recognize CCW's issued in this state.
Beware of scam artists who want to sell you a CCW permit that is
valid for multiple states including California. Contact
your local Sheriffs department or search the ATF or DOJ websites
for states which honor other CCWs.
Law Enforcement
Officers Only
Shot Gun & Rifle Training. Practice various
courses of fire. Bring ammo and duty issued
firearm. Additional firearms will be available.
